Overview

PineTune is a Chrome extension designed to optimize TradingView Pine Script strategy parameters. This privacy policy explains how we use the permissions required by our extension.

Permission Usage

1. activeTab Permission

We require this permission to:

• Access and modify the TradingView chart page content
• Interact with strategy parameter dialogs
• Add optimization controls to the interface

2. storage Permission

We require this permission to:

• Save optimization settings locally
• Store optimization results for future reference
• Remember user preferences

3. tabs Permission

We require this permission to:

• Open optimization result windows
• Manage communication between different parts of the extension
• Coordinate optimization processes across tabs

4. scripting Permission

We require this permission to:

• Inject optimization UI elements into TradingView's interface
• Modify strategy parameter dialogs
• Execute optimization routines

5. Host Permissions

We require access to:

• tradingview.com - To interact with TradingView's chart interface
• pinetune.app - For service integration and updates

Remote Code Usage

PineTune uses:

• Bootstrap CSS framework loaded from CDN for UI styling and layout
• This is limited to CSS stylesheets only, used purely for visual presentation
• No remote JavaScript code is executed - all functionality is packaged within the extension
• CDN usage follows industry best practices for optimal performance and caching

Data Collection and Usage

PineTune:

• Does not collect personal information
• Does not track user behavior
• Stores optimization data locally on your device only
• Does not transmit data to external servers except for necessary TradingView interactions

Third-Party Services

PineTune interacts only with:

• TradingView.com - For chart and strategy optimization
• PineTune.app - For service updates and documentation

Data Security

All optimization data is stored locally on your device. We do not store or transmit your TradingView credentials or personal information.

Updates

This privacy policy may be updated occasionally. Users will be notified of any significant changes through the extension's update process.
